UP held to a draw

Many were expecting the rain of goals that was witnessed in the previous season when these two side met but Kumo Marumo's first half penalty and the heroics of goalkeeper Nthabiseng Matshaba gave Tuks a fighting chance.

Having lost the previous week, sundowns started the match cautiously although it was the home side who came into the encounter as the underdogs.
Sundowns had the upper hand from the get go, creating the early chances and scoring the opener in the 15th minute.
However Tuks remained calm and and won a penalty which Marumo converted to equalise only 5 minutes later. The goal spurred Tuks on. Chego latched onto a through pass on the right but pushed the ball too far and was beaten to it by the keeper.
With Sundowns desperate to de-thrown Tuks from the top of the log they threw everything forward, with Matshaba coming out tops in a one-on-one situation with Rhoda Mulaudzi. Pushing more players forward left Sundowns open at the back and Tuks exploited the gaps, creating a few more chances which forced Sundowns back. Molepo,  Chego,  Magaia all had one on one chances with the keeper but could not convert.
Majadibe replaced Chego in the 82nd minute but that did not hamper Tuks' momentum in the game. It was end to end stuff as both teams pushed for the winner. The visitors won four consecutive corner kicks before the referee put an end to proceedings with very contrasting reactions from the two camps.

Tuks have more time to focus on their next Sasol league encounter  as the USSA Gauteng League breaks next week. The team's next match is agaist Soweto Fabulous on Sunday 03 May 2015 at the Nike Center.

Kick off is schduled for 13h00
