The University Of Pretoria Football club under 11 team were crowned as FAP CUP winners after they dispatched Glenwegians 2-0 in Gezina. Both goals were scored by Tshiamo.

The Varsity Football player mascots drew inspiration from their seniors who were in attendance and ran their opposition rugged from the first whistle in hot unfavourable conditions. Glenwegians struggled to contain the onslaught from the Tuks players in the first half and they were limited to their own half.

Ahmed Karim and Sechaba Mofokeng proved to be a nightmare for the opposition with their skilful and industrious play that entertained the fans in the stands. The hero of the day was Tshiamo who secured the title through his well-executed finishes, the 9 year old showed maturity of a teenager throughout the match and he is definitely one to watch for the future.

Head coach David Matsemela credited the victory to the hard work and desire the boys put in training,” I’m very pleased with how the young boys played today and I felt we deserved to win simply because we were the better side throughout the entire match. We have been working hard preparing for this final and we are definitely enjoying the fruits of our labour and all credit goes to the players”.
