AmaTuks travel to Orlando Stadium on the night of Friday 24 April 2015 in a second round clash with Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.
The first round encounter between the two sides at the Tuks stadium in November 2014 ended in a goalless draw. 10th placed AmaTuks' last win was at home against Maritzburg and they have now gone five matches without a win since the beginning of March.
Hosts Orlando Pirates have also had a mix of results in the Premiership over the past month. In their last three fixtures they beat Mpumalanga Black Aces 2-1 at home, drew 3-3 with Platinum Stars also at home and then lost 2-0 to Bidvest Wits at the Bidvest Stadium.
Frontman Atusaye Nyondo has returned to the side after a 3 week layoff with a head injury and featured in the 2-0 loss to Ajax Cape Town last week. This will be only his second match since returning from injury and is still match rusty. Fingers are crossed over the fitness of his tin striker and AmaTuks' top goal scorer this season so far with eight goals, Geoffrey Massa, who picked up an injury in the home clash agaisnt Kaizer Chiefs. He has been out for two weeks and the coaches will be hoping that the target man will be fit for Friday night.
Coach Throughton has been "happy with the overall performance" of the team but is concerned with the "toothessness upfront". That is an element the team has been working on at training and they will look to change their fortunes against Pirates for a much needed three points which could see them hold the foot of the top 8.
The match war originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday 21 April 2015 but due to the unavailability of return flights from Gabon, the match was postponed to Friday 24 April 2015. Kick off is 20h00 and tickets are available at R40 from Computicket as well as Shoprite stores.
