The Spartak Football Club kicked off the 2015/2016 Tshwane SAB Regional League season with a bang as they dispatched newly promoted Klasso FC 4-2 at the Tuks Sport Campus. 

A hat-trick from Claudio De Almeida was the highlight of the match as the tenacious midfielder looked menacing with his skills and off the ball runs. The match had a bit of an extra incentive as Klasso FC were promoted to the Tshwane SAB Regional League at the expense of Spartak’s feeder team Tuks FC who play in the Super League.

Tebogo Galane opened the scoring with a deftly executed finish from close range and set the tone for a great match as the team went on to score 3 more goals. It would be a match to remember for 16 year old Goalie Phillip Lesoma who had his debut for Spartak FC, the young lad was promoted from the U17 team. There were 4 other debutants from the feeder team and academy, Nicholas Killas from Tuks FC in the Super League, Wandile Makhanya, Tiago Da Serra, Koketso Jini and Nhlanhla Mabaso from the U19 team.

Simbongile Njokwe was elected as the new captain of the team and he will be assisted by Vice Captain Nicholas Killas. The next match for Spartak FC is against Titans FC from Garankuwa and the match will be at the Garankuwa grounds, kick-off is at 15:00.
