AmaTuks welcome Maritzburg United to the Tuks stadium on Sundaythe 8th of March for an ABSA Premiership match, kick off is at 15:30.
AmaTuks are in their best run of form this season and that has raised their points average per match to 1.3 but they take on a stubborn Maritzburg side that has one win from their last 12 matches. The two teams are seperated by just two points with AmaTuks sitting on 9th position with 26 points from 20 league matches whilst the people's team occupies 10th position with 24 points from 20 matches played.
AmaTuks have never beaten Maritzburg United, in the 5 matches the two teams have played against each other 4 matches were drawn from which two were goalless draws, Maritzburg United has however beaten the Pretoria side on one occasion. The lack of goals from previous encounters may may dampen the hopes of many fans for an entertaining encounter but the stakes are high in this match and both teams will be going for the three points.
Sammy Troughton believes the players have done well and he is looking forward to the Maritzburg United clash, "We have done okay so far but we need to get more. The form is encouraging and we are delighted to have some positive results but we have to maintain this form as we have some catching up to do,” says Troughton.
AmaTuk's Siyabonga Ngubane is still out serving his suspension and Mpho Maruping continues his recovery from an injury he sustained in the Multi-Choice Diski Challenge.
