It will be Dejavu for the AmaTuks reserve team when they head to the Nike Centre to take on Soweto giants in a Multi-Choice Diski Challenge match, kick off is at 13:00.

AmaTuks lifted the inaugural MDC title last season at the Nike centre after they beat Mamelodi Sundowns through penalties. Kaizer Chiefs have had mixed results this season and find themselves 11th on the log. AmaTuks are coming from a 1-1 draw against Bidvest Wits and the defending champions lost their top spot to high flying Golden Arrows.

Kaizer Chiefs went down 3-1 against Polokwane City and they will be looking for an improved performance against the defending champions.

AmaTuks head coach Evangelos Vellios feels his team is galvanised and ready for AmaKhosi, “We are focusing on ourselves for this match and we want to execute a proper game plan and ignore our opponent’s recent form. The focus is entirely on getting three points, we have a couple of matches at home coming up and the important thing is to build momentum so we can challenge. I’m fully aware that the Nike centre is where we won the tournament last season and I’m hoping it will serve us well in terms of motivation and I’m looking forward to the match”.
