CAPTAIN'S CORNER - WE NEED TO DO BETTER

Compliments of the New Year to Everyone. We did not have a good start to the 2013/14 PSL season as compared to our first season in this elite League.

We only started gaining momentum half way through the first round and our performance at home has improved as compared to last season; we now need to work on our away record.

Geoffrey Massa and Atusaye Nyondo have brought some change in the scoring department as they have scored in almost every match we played at home.

The biggest challenge we had in the first round was scoring goals away from home, we have not scored a goal on the road, which is a concern to the team. We are busy working on that at training.

I believe we did well in first round, going into the Christmas break with seventeen (17) points, placed ninth (9th) on the log table from fifteen (15) matches. I also believe that we are still within the target and in-line with what we want to achieve as a team.

Our objective in the second round is to make sure that we get more wins to add to the five (5) games we won in the first round. We also need to turn a couple of games we lost into draws. Once we achieve that, we can reach our aim of finishing in the top 8.

Our main objective is to do better than we did last season and continue working hard so that the club keeps improving every year.

We welcome Raymond Monama to the team; I believe that he will assist the team in the attacking department. We wish him a pleasant stay at AmaTuks.
