The University Of Pretoria Football Club welcomes Moroka Swallows to the Tuks stadium for a Nedbank Cup clash on the 25th of February, kick-off is at 19:30.

This encounter will be a replay of the Nedbank Cup final back in 2009 when the Dube Birds emerged 1-0 victors to dampen the hearts of the then NFD AmaTuks. Mpho Matsi is the only player in the current AmaTuks squad that played in the 2009 final.

If form is anything to go by AmaTuks are overwhelming favourites to go through to the last 16 but in cup matches form counts for nothing as motivation is high in both camps. The last time these teams clashed was in the ABSA premiership when AmaTuks came from behind to win 3-2.

Since the University Of Pretoria got promoted to the Premier Soccer League they have never progressed to the last 16 of the Nedbank cup and they will fancy their chances this year against a struggling Moroka Swallows who have everything to play for.

AmaTuks will be expected to win this encounter but it will be tricky for the technical staff who also have to plan for a league match 2 days after the Nedbank cup match. Denver Mukamba will look to sustain his fine form that has seen him score 2 goals in 2 matches while AmaTuks will have to do without the services of Siyabonga Ngubane who is suspended for this encounter.
