AMATUKS LABOUR TO EARN A DRAW

Lucky Mathosi scored in the second half as AmaTuks earned a draw against Kaizer Chiefs at the Nike Centre in Soweto on the 17th of October 2015.

Benny Malope opened the scoring for AmaKhosi after he capitalised on a mistake from debutant goalie Kgosi Sejosingoe. AmaTuks laboured against AmaKhosi who were keeping possession and playing at a walking pace to frustrate the AmaTuks players.

Brilliant Khuzwayo pulled off fantastic saves to keep his side in the game as AmaTuks began to pile the pressure onto the Chiefs defence. Sejosingoe recovered on his earlier mistake and pulled off some brilliant saves that would eventually win him the man of the match award.

The pressure from AmaTuks paid off in the dying stages of the match when Lucky Mathosi latched onto a cross from Junior Sibande and slotted the ball home to make it 1-1 in the 86th minute.

The Soweto giants began to look for the winning goal but the AmaTuks defence remained water tight until the end of the match to earn a point.
